“Remembrance is like a dog that lies down wherever it pleases.”
Cees Nooteboom
Clara Andermatt and Marco Martins create a show that reflects on how each minute is “consumed” in our lives, and how people tend to relate to time and memory.
The characters, closed in a isolated and timeless space, experiment – on time, and in time.
Inspired by Gonçalo M. Tavares’s writings, the interpreters – dancers and actors – lend their biographical livingness to the piece: time for some will necessarily assume different meanings to others – and not only because of the age range, going from 24 to 86 years old.
These two artists, from distinct areas of artistic expression, bring to this joint creation their visions that cross and get mixed, contaminate each other, making of One Minute Measurements a piece that goes beyond dance or image.
